Venture First has served as CFO of Goodmaps, Inc., helping double their revenue in two years and securing $12.5M of total capital raised. Goodmaps provides AI-enhanced indoor space navigation using Lidar technology throughout the US, Canada, and the UK. As their financial services partner, Venture First’s dedicated team of a CFO, FP&A Analyst, and Accountants have provided insightful reporting and counsel since their spin-off from APH in 2020.

Additionally, Venture First facilitated a minority investment in the company’s $3.6M seed round through its venture capital arm, Strike Ventures, which invests in early-stage technology companies.
Strategic Guidance
In early 2019, APH and Goodmaps realized an opportunity to provide their technology beyond the visually impaired to the broader population. Packed with the knowledge that there was a market for their product, Goodmaps looked to Venture First to provide strategic guidance on fundraising, valuation, contract pricing, and, most importantly, navigating the balance between their mission-driven focus and optimizing returns for venture capital investors.
Winner’s Corner
In August 2023, Venture First assisted in the preparation of Goodmaps materials for Rally, an innovation conference in Indianapolis. Goodmaps was awarded $1 million for winning the software category of the conference’s pitch competition.
