Chris Marlin joined VF in April 2025. A veteran COO and CFO, Chris spent 15-years with Zappos, a subsidiary of Amazon. His leadership spanned multiple areas including FP&A, Supply Chain, and Merchandising, culminating with the transformation of Zappos & Amazon’s assortment strategy, organizational structure, and operations delivering both revenue and operating margin growth on revenue exceeding $3B annually.
Post-Zappos, Chris joined the family office of Zappos founders, leading strategy and finance for three portfolio companies tied to the restaurant and tequila industry. Fluent in Spanish and having expertise in Latin America from his time working with the Spanish government, he oversaw the financial and legal operations of the businesses in Mexico, and led the successful investment in a restaurant group in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Chris is a graduate of the University of Louisville and has completed executive education coursework with Columbia Business School. He resides in Las Vegas, NV along with his wife and three children.
